About TintBrew
TintBrew is a free color toolbox: a perceptual (Oklab) color mixer, a four-format converter, and honest answers to every classic “what two colors make” question.
Why another color tool?
Most online color mixers average raw red, green and blue values. That is how a screen adds
light — but it is not how mixing looks. TintBrew blends in Oklab, a
color space designed to match human perception, so a 50/50 mix lands on the shade your eye
treats as the true midpoint. The same math now powers CSS color-mix() in modern
browsers.
What you'll find here
- A color mixer for 2–5 colors with ratio sliders, HEX/RGB/HSL/CMYK output and a copy-ready CSS snippet.
- A color converter that keeps all four formats in sync as you type.
- A library of mix answers — every classic pair, with exact codes, ratio tables, tints and shades, and an explanation of what changes between paint and screens.
